Stacey Abrams y'all.

Stacey Abrams y'all.

May I preach a word today please? I mean, STACEY ABRAMS 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟⠀

That really should be enough to say but there is so much more about her and so many other people that turned this election season completely on its head. But today I'd like to acknowledge Ms. Abrams and thank her for being a living testimony of how to completely personify what it means to be bossy (as we define it). ⠀

She is a woman who walks with purpose and galvanizes action for the good of those whose voices aren't heard. She proves that loss and disappointment does not mean that your battle is over or that your work is done. Your purpose on this planet is most likely bigger than you and even though it may not have global impact like Ms. Abrams as far as it impacts someone, it is worthy of recognition and celebration. ⠀

Ms. Abrams has never been shy about owning her ambition and acting on it. She is an example for all of us! When she put the word out that she would love to be considered for the VP position alongside Biden, people admonished her for not being more demure about her aspirations. #$@% that! Ask for what you want! Her innate bias is to act in spite of all the vitriol and disappointment she has experienced. She is long-term oriented and shoots to win with war, not just the battles. She is relentless and because of her, and many others, we have a greater chance for change to come for more people than it did over the last 4 years.⠀

This post isn't about being a Democrat or a Republican. It's about stepping into your purpose and working tirelessly, in spite of loss and failure, toward an end goal that is larger than you. ⠀

Let's learn from STACEY ABRAMS and live out our purpose in 2021 and beyond.⠀

Love,⠀
aisha xx
